About the Challenge

In the Studium mit vertiefter Praxis, you will ideally combine theory and practice. The knowledge acquired in your university studies will be applied in practical phases in concrete projects during the semester breaks. This way, you will not only learn why something works, but also how it works and how it is done. During the 1.5 years of your Master's degree at XITASO, you will work in interdisciplinary teams using an extensive technology stack in an agile manner. This allows you to further deepen your practical knowledge from your bachelor's degree and optimally prepare for the transition to professional life or a subsequent doctorate.

Course of the Master's degree with in-depth practice and course content

The standard period of study is 3 semesters. The application-oriented Master's degree program in Computer Science consists of the five main components:

• Scientific basics
• System architectures
• Specialization based on elective subjects
• Scientific work
• Master's thesis

Great importance is attached to the imparting of soft skills, in particular English language skills in the technical-scientific field.

• You work together in a team on the development of challenging applications, e.g. in the web, cloud or IoT area.
• You work on individual tasks independently.
• You live with us the agile software development in Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews with the customer and Retrospectives with the support of our Agile Coaches.

What Sets You Apart

• You have a completed bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a comparable educational path and would like to study Computer Science (M.Sc.) at the Technical University of Augsburg.
• You have initial practical experience in programming in C++, C#, Java, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• You have a good understanding of object-oriented programming.
• You have basic knowledge in version control, design patterns, testing and SOLID principles.
• You have fun and interest in new technologies, software development methods and principles.
• You have an independent and self-responsible working style.
• You are open-minded and enjoy teamwork.
• You have very good German and English language skills (at least C1 level) for clear and secure communication in the team and with our partners.
