Supply Chain Production Planner

About the Position

We are seeking a Supply Chain Production Planner with experience in SAP processes and ERP systems to optimize production and supply chain processes in Aßlar, Germany.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate production and procurement needs based on sales forecasts and customer orders.
• Optimize inventories, delivery capabilities, and supply chain processes considering costs and capacities.
• Manage and monitor production orders and optimize production sequences and setup times.
• Ensure timely material supply through material requirements planning and disposition.
• Monitor delivery dates, order confirmations, and goods receipts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify and resolve material shortages and initiate appropriate measures to ensure production.
• Coordinate production and procurement plans with purchasing, production, sales, and other departments.
• Monitor and optimize inventory metrics, coverage, and buffer and safety stocks.
• Analyze and evaluate supplier performance in terms of delivery reliability, quality, and supply security.
• Coordinate complaints and escalations for delivery deviations and supply shortages.
• Maintain and adjust planning and procurement data in the ERP system.
• Collaborate on cross-departmental projects to optimize production planning and supply chain processes.

Requirements

Must-haves

• Project management experience and several years of experience in supply chain planning.
• Practical experience with SAP processes and ERP systems, ideally SAP EWM.
• Experience in optimizing and stabilizing production and supply chain processes.
• Knowledge in inventory management, production control, and resolving material shortages.
• Experience in working with purchasing, production, logistics, and suppliers.
• Very good German and English skills.
• Analytical, structured work approach and strong communication and assertiveness skills.
• Absolute hands-on mentality.
