About the Position
Bring your ideas to life at Boeing. We are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist for the UK Apache RWE programme to join our Vertical Lift Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will support end users through the management of tooling and Ground Support Equipment repair and calibration.
Responsibilities
- Support the establishment of the Tooling and Ground Support Equipment Inventory Support Centre (ISC).
- Support the development of robust working processes to support the attainment of Military Aviation Authority accreditations.
- Receive materiel into the ISC using a combination of Boeing and end user Log IS and produce any necessary paperwork.
- Raise Purchase Requests for the calibration or replacement of items through either Boeing or MOD contracts as appropriate.
- Receive and issue materiel from either the Boeing or MOD Supply Chain and bring it on charge using appropriate Log IS.
- Identify and resolve supply chain management issues and discrepancies.
- Progression of end user enquiries to support maintenance planning and decision making.
- Support Company safety processes and procedures by identifying and reporting safety concerns to preclude injury or hardware damage.
- Apply Continuous Improvement methodologies to seek opportunities to deliver best value for money to the programme.
- Develop productive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Carry out other Supply duties as required by the Material Flow Manager or the Material Flow Team Leader.
- Follow standard operating procedures and work in a methodical, tidy, and safe manner.
- Support the Apache Supply Chain Operations Manager or Material Team Leader with the implementation of Company Policy and Procedure.
- Create, maintain, and submit metrics and performance reports to ensure full adherence to our agreed Business key performance indicators.
Requirements
- Must have experience of supply chain related activities & operations, ideally within the aviation/defence industry.
- Flexible, highly motivated with a proactive approach to assigned duties.
- Able to work within a small team.
- Possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Demonstrate sound communication skills to deal with all customers and colleagues.
- The ability to obtain SC Clearance for which the UK Government requires UK residency.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Management Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI), Base Inventory Warehouse Management System (BIWMS), SAP, and Warehouse-On-Web (WOW) software would be advantageous but not essential.
- Experience of Ministry of Defence Supply Chain regulations.
