About the Position

Bring your ideas to life at Boeing. We are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist – First Aid Aircraft Outfit (FAACO) Team Lead on the UK Apache RWE programme to join our Vertical Lift Supply Chain team in Wattisham, England. The successful candidate will lead a team to fulfill materiel demands for aircraft parts, ensuring timely and efficient support to end users.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the newly formed FAACO department to support Boeing Part 145 Maintenance.
  • Develop robust working processes to support the attainment of Military Aviation Authority accreditations.
  • Timely placement of demands using MJDI to meet end user maintenance requirements.
  • Receive materiel, bring it on charge, and issue it to appropriate end users using MJDI.
  • Progression of outstanding end user demands to support maintenance planning and decision making.
  • Receipt and issue of all materiel required to enter the reverse supply chain.
  • Identify and resolve supply chain management issues and discrepancies.
  • Support Company safety processes and procedures by identifying and reporting safety concerns to preclude injury or hardware damage.
  • Apply Continuous Improvement methodologies to seek opportunities to deliver best value for money to the programme.
  • Support ongoing internal and external Quality audits to maintain accreditations.
  • Develop productive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effectively deal with any queries, correspondence, or return of non-conforming spares.
  • Carry out any other Supply duties as required by the Material Flow Manager or the Material Flow Team Leader.
  • Support the Apache Material Flow Manager and the Material Team Leader with the implementation of Company Policy and Procedure.
  • Create, maintain, and submit metrics and performance reports to ensure full adherence to our agreed Business key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • Ability to lead a team to deliver on operational requirements within process and time constraints.
  • Experience of supply chain related activities & operations, ideally within the defence aviation industry.
  • Flexible, highly motivated with a proactive approach to assigned duties.
  • Able to work within a small team.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrate sound communication skills to deal with all customers and colleagues.
  • The ability to obtain SC Clearance for which the UK Government requires UK residency.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with Management Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI), Base Inventory Warehouse Management System (BIWMS), SAP, and Warehouse-On-Web (WOW) software.
  • Experience of Ministry of Defence Supply Chain regulations.
