System Administrator (Junior)

About the Position

We are looking for a Junior System Administrator to join our team. Responsibilities include managing system technologies, providing solutions, and assisting with hardware and software evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Perform research, troubleshoot, and provide resolution to complex issues for new system technologies, on-premises and cloud-based, in physical and virtual deployments.
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Take a leadership role in the development and implementation of project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
• Develop sophisticated system standards and recommend improvements to enhance performance.
• Define and document best practices and support procedures.
• Ability to work independently on day-to-day work tasks.
• Assist with hardware, software, and vendor evaluation.
• Carry out special tasks at Management’s direction.
• Interact with staff and other peer groups at the technical level, as required.
• Serve as a point of contact and lead to junior team members.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in computer science or related area is required; a bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2 years of related work experience preferred.
• Microsoft Certifications (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Application Servers and technologies.
• Microsoft modern management experience.
• Experience in Identity Management, such as MIM or Okta.
• An understanding of core networking, operating systems, and troubleshooting concepts.
• Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration.

Nice to Have

• Experience in deployments and rollouts of new technologies.
• Group Policy design and configuration.
