About the Position
We are looking for a Junior System Administrator to join our team. Responsibilities include managing system technologies, providing solutions, and assisting with hardware and software evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Perform research, troubleshoot, and provide resolution to complex issues for new system technologies, on-premises and cloud-based, in physical and virtual deployments.
- Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Take a leadership role in the development and implementation of project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
- Develop sophisticated system standards and recommend improvements to enhance performance.
- Define and document best practices and support procedures.
- Ability to work independently on day-to-day work tasks.
- Assist with hardware, software, and vendor evaluation.
- Carry out special tasks at Management’s direction.
- Interact with staff and other peer groups at the technical level, as required.
- Serve as a point of contact and lead to junior team members.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in computer science or related area is required; a bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2 years of related work experience preferred.
- Microsoft Certifications (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Application Servers and technologies.
- Microsoft modern management experience.
- Experience in Identity Management, such as MIM or Okta.
- An understanding of core networking, operating systems, and troubleshooting concepts.
- Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration.
Nice to Have
- Experience in deployments and rollouts of new technologies.
- Group Policy design and configuration.
