The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to support the T-7A program located in Berkeley, MO.
Responsibilities
As an Industrial Engineer, you will leverage industrial engineering principles and project management techniques to plan, coordinate, and oversee long-term initiatives that align with program objectives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading cross-functional project teams to plan, execute, and monitor engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with program goals and timelines.
- Applying industrial engineering concepts, approaches, and techniques to product, process, and services to meet program requirements.
- Facilitating regular project status meetings, providing transparent communication and reporting to leadership and team members.
- Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets for long-term process optimization projects.
- Developing plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations, and workflows.
- Evaluating new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.
- Designing, maintaining, and optimizing the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.
- Conducting workflow design and analysis.
- Developing models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data and providing summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders and customers.
- Researching, designing, developing, improving, and implementing processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality for large-scale systems integration and asset utilization.
- Developing and implementing plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods.
- Ensuring compliance with established industry safety, design standards, and ergonomic guidelines.
Requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
- 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
- 9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.
- 5+ years of experience in the field of Lean Manufacturing.
- 5+ years of experience in partnering with all key functions in an integrator/lead role.
- 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Passion for continuous improvement and desire to stabilize and improve manufacturing.
