About the Position

We are looking for a highly technical Team Lead with strong leadership capabilities who can combine hands-on engineering expertise with a team-building and ownership mindset. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both solving complex technical challenges and building strong engineering teams around a meaningful product.

Project Overview

Opus Dental is a Nordic healthcare software company providing modern practice management solutions for dental clinics. The platform supports daily clinical workflows such as patient management, scheduling, documentation, and billing.

We are building and scaling a new engineering team in Lviv that will contribute directly to the core Opus Dental platform.

The project includes both maintaining and modernising an existing enterprise codebase and designing new cloud-native services from scratch.

The environment is a mix of legacy.NET systems and modern Azure-based architecture, with a strong focus on gradual transformation toward scalable, API-first solutions.

Responsibilities

Building and scaling a new engineering team in Lviv
Contributing to both legacy system maintenance and modernization initiatives
Driving architecture decisions together with Nordic tech leads
Establishing effective delivery processes and engineering practices
Supporting transition toward a fully cloud-native, API-first ecosystem

Requirements

Strong experience with .NET, at least 10 years
Experience with React/TypeScript (or any other Frontend framework)
Experience in cloud-native development from scratch (containerised, API-first, Azure-based architecture)
Solid understanding of Azure services (App Services, Azure SQL, AKS / Container Apps, CI/CD, monitoring)
Strong REST API design experience
Ability to work with and maintain legacy enterprise systems
Experience acting as a Team/Tech lead
Experience or willingness to adopt Team Topologies / feature-team model
