Tech – Тeam Lead Frontend

About the Position

We are seeking a Tech – Team Lead Frontend with 5+ years of commercial experience in React and 1+ year in a technical leadership role to join our remote team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of frontend developers
• Design and evolve scalable, maintainable, and reusable frontend applications
• Collaborate with backend teams on API contracts and integrations
• Define and maintain frontend engineering standards and development practices
• Conduct code reviews, technical decision-making, and refactoring of complex frontend systems
• Ensure frontend performance, security, reliability, and observability

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial frontend development experience, including strong hands-on experience with React (we use React 18)
• 1+ years of experience as a Team Lead, Tech Lead, or in a similar technical leadership role
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript
• Excellent knowledge of JavaScript standards and modern frontend development practices
• Strong understanding of React architecture, including context providers and consumers, hooks, state management, and component design
• Strong understanding of fundamental Software Engineering concepts, design principles, and frontend architecture
• Strong understanding of frontend performance, security, reliability, and observability
• Good understanding of OOP and common software design patterns
• Experience with VCS (Git)
• Experience with CSS preprocessors
• Experience with unit testing and frontend testing practices
• English: Upper-Intermediate / Advanced

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Angular (we use Angular 22)
• Experience with modular frontend architecture and ownership of standalone frontend modules within a larger product ecosystem
• Experience with frontend monitoring, performance metrics, and error tracking
• Experience working in payment, fintech, or other high-load transactional systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and frontend build/deployment processes

• Strong leadership, ownership, responsibility, and self-organization in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to balance hands-on technical work with team leadership responsibilities
• Proactive engagement with Product, Backend, QA, Design, Architecture, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, dependencies, and payment flows

• Ability to mentor engineers, provide constructive feedback, and support their professional and technical growth
• Ability to delegate effectively while maintaining visibility over team delivery and technical quality
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with particular attention to reliability, security, and maintainability
• Ability to identify technical risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks early and proactively drive their resolution
• Ability to make and clearly communicate technical decisions and trade-offs
