About the Position

Eurocontrol is building a brand new digital platform within the aviation sector and is looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join their full-remote team. If you are passionate about test automation and want to be part of an exciting new project, this could be the role for you!

Responsibilities

Building the test automation framework using tools like JMeter, Selenium, JUnit, and Jenkins.
Implementing behavior-driven development.
Designing and writing test automation scripts.
Enabling quicker application deployments and verifying functionality, performance, and scalability.
Investigating software bugs as a result of testing.
Working closely with the quality assurance lead.
Evaluating new technology options and vendor products.
Suggesting architecture and process improvements.

Requirements

Experience with Cucumber.
Solid experience as an Automation Engineer with different IT management tools.
Experience with one or more programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, Golang).
Experience in conducting test automation code reviews.
Ability to evangelize test automation best practices to the entire engineering organization.
Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible is a plus.
Experience within a platform-centric environment is a big plus.
Entrepreneurial spirit, proactive attitude, and a 'can do' mentality.
Strong team player.

Location: Brussels, BE (Remote only)
Salary up to: 500€/day
Worksite type: Remote only
Contract type: Freelancer or Employee
Client: Eurocontrol
The job can be performed fully-remote from any European country.
Sporadic traveling to Brussels or Amsterdam for business meetings if needed.
Salary/daily rates can vary based on experience and skills.
Option for a Belgium permanent employment contract.
