Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams through all project phases, from preliminary design to construction documentation.
• Develop project criteria, budgets, and schedules while ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
• Manage and oversee highway engineering design projects, including MDOT-compliant work.
• Foster existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Mentor junior staff and promote a culture of technical excellence.
• Conduct site visits, attend client meetings, and represent the firm at industry events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Active Professional Engineering (PE) License.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in civil transportation engineering, including 8+ years in highway design and 5+ years in project management.
• Proven track record with MDOT projects and managing entire project lifecycles.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Self-driven attitude, strategic problem-solving skills, and a commitment to client success.

Work Environment

• Primarily office-based with occasional travel for site visits, client meetings, and industry conferences.
• Must be willing to adapt to project demands, including flexible scheduling.
