UI Technical Architect

About the Position

We are seeking a UI Technical Architect with 12+ years of experience in front-end development to join our team in Bengaluru, India, and contribute to scalable, high-performance applications.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with AEM, EDS, Commerce, and Enterprise Architects to shape and deliver seamless, end-to-end technical solutions.
• Spot technical challenges early and help teams navigate both current and upcoming project needs.
• Recommend the right tools, platforms, and technologies to keep our development process efficient and future-ready.
• Partner with the Backend Architect to craft the vision for our frontend architecture, mobile stack, and overall engineering approach.
• Turn high-level ideas and concepts into clear, detailed designs that teams can easily bring to life.
• Guide the execution of technical and infrastructure initiatives to ensure they stay aligned with architectural goals.
• Review team deliverables to make sure they follow coding standards, architectural guidelines, and design principles.
• Mentor and support the UI team, helping them grow and stay aligned with best practices and architectural direction.
• Contribute to product design discussions and highlight architectural considerations when needed.
• Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams working on related projects.
• Stay curious, explore new technologies, build prototypes, and share recommendations on what could benefit the organization.
• Identify areas of technical debt and suggest improvements that strengthen the overall architecture.
• Stay up to date with AI frameworks, MCP, and agentic AI models, and bring those insights into relevant projects.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and growth within the technical team.
• Suggest improvements to the technology stack that help us move faster, stay scalable, and remain competitive.

Requirements

• 12+ years of front-end development experience, with deep expertise in architecting large, component-based applications using React/Redux or Vue.
• Comfortable collaborating across multiple teams in fast-paced, high-velocity enterprise environments.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to facilitate discussions, resolve conflicts, and drive clear technical decisions.
• Proven track record of delivering scalable, high-quality solutions while remaining hands-on when needed.
• Experience with high-traffic eCommerce or multi-brand CMS platforms is a significant advantage.
• Expertise in designing and maintaining unified UI component libraries to ensure consistency across products.
• Solid understanding of design principles, design patterns, and modern architectures, including monolithic and service-oriented approaches.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement in both processes and technology.
• High sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to quality.
• Strong balance of strategic thinking with attention to detail, coupled with a willingness to innovate and take calculated risks.
• Excellent communicator, confident and effective across distributed teams.
• Quick to research, evaluate, and adopt new technologies in fast-changing environments.
• Thrives as both an individual contributor and a technical leader.
• Expert in HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern CSS methodologies such as Sass, Less, Tailwind, BEM.
• Strong JavaScript (ES6+) skills and advanced ReactJS expertise, including working with design systems and Atomic Design.
• Exposure to mobile frameworks like React Native or Flutter is a plus.
• Skilled in integrating REST/GraphQL APIs, building PWAs, reusable UI components, and CMS/headless commerce frontends.
• Knowledgeable in Node.js, npm, Webpack, Babel, cross-platform architecture, and mobile API integrations.
• Proficient in web performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, WCAG accessibility, and secure frontend development (OWASP).
• Hands-on experience with testing tools (Jest, Jasmine, Karma, Playwright) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient with Git and version control systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and optimize UI performance.
• Experienced in Agile/Scrum environments and AI-enhanced UI tools.
• Strong mentorship, problem-solving, and cross-team collaboration skills.
