Boeing Defense Systems (BDS) the Electrical Capability has a great opportunity for multiple experienced Wiring Design and Installation Engineers in Ridley Park, PA. This role falls within our Philadelphia Design Center and supports a vast portfolio of aerospace products across the Boeing enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.
• Supports and analyzes results and performs design reviews.
• Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly, and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing, and geometry, antennas).
• Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).
• Follows and documents processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
• Supports and develops basic statements of work.
• Assists and participates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
• Analyzes functional and physical input to ensure development of complete integrated design. Works under general direction.

Requirements

• Education/Experience: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience with wire harness, electrical, and/or mechanical design.
• Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to Obtain U.S. Secret – Interim Pre-Start & Final Post Start.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an ABET accredited course of study in engineering.
• Experience in Model-Based Definition (CATIA V5, Solidworks, Siemens, NX), ENOVIA, and PDM.
• Experience working in a cross-functional team environment and have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in electrical wiring design, wiring installation design, equipment installation design, systems and wiring architecture, FAA/EWIS/military certification, electrical fabrication, and electrical production line support.
• Familiarity with electrical system design principles and relevant regulations.
• Ability to quickly adapt to program tools and procedures.
