About the Position

Agentic AI Data Scientist – KYC & Wholesale Banking

At ING Wholesale Banking, we're applying Agentic AI to one of the most complex challenges in financial services: KYC (Know Your Customer). As part of ING Analytics Wholesale Banking, you'll build intelligent systems that extract information, assess completeness, resolve entities, and support risk-based decision-making while meeting the governance and compliance standards required in global banking.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable AI solutions that automate KYC workflows and decision-support processes.
  • Build multi-agent systems using modern orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Google ADK, or similar technologies.
  • Develop document understanding and information extraction solutions.
  • Implement entity resolution and corporate ownership discovery capabilities.
  • Create network and graph-based analytics supporting risk and compliance investigations.
  • Apply machine learning techniques to complex banking datasets.
  • Develop AI systems in line with ING's model governance and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field.
  • Experience working with Agentic AI and LLM-based solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one agent orchestration framework such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Google ADK, or similar technologies.
  • A degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics, or a related field (MSc or PhD is a plus).
  • Strong Python skills.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning techniques, from classical models to modern neural networks.
  • Experience applying Data Science methods to real business problems.
  • Interest in information extraction, entity resolution, graph analytics, and network analysis.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Experience in Wholesale Banking, KYC, AML, financial crime, model governance, or regulated industries will be considered an advantage.
