About the Position

We are looking for an Android Developer for payment terminals to join our agile team in Prague, Czech Republic. You will be responsible for developing and modifying a financial Android application.

Responsibilities

Participate in the development of software for the next generation of Android payment terminals deployed in international markets.
Contribute to the development of Android applications and SDK components that are a key part of the payment ecosystem.
Work in an agile Scrum team and collaborate on the design, development, and delivery of new functionalities.
Participate in the design of technical solutions and discussions on application architecture and conceptual approaches to solutions.
Create clean, well-structured, and documented code with an emphasis on quality, readability, and unit test coverage.
Build reusable libraries and components that can be shared across the entire group and contribute to higher development efficiency.
Develop parts of systems using Java, Kotlin, and related technologies.
Design and implement solutions with an emphasis on automated testing and application stability.
Participate in the development of solutions in the area of payment technologies and payment security, including standards such as EMV and PCI-DSS.
Keep up with the latest technologies and software development methodologies.
Actively solve technical problems and participate in their analysis and resolution.
Provide transparent information about the progress of work and task fulfillment within the project or development team.
Regularly collaborate with international teams in English.

Kotlin, Java
Android platform, Android SDK, Android Studio
Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, RxJava
Android libraries (e.g. Koin, Room, Gson)
REST APIs, client-server architecture
Git, CI/CD, Jenkins
Unit testing
Networking technologies (TCP/IP, WiFi, GSM)

Nice to Have

Experience with payment technologies (EMV, PCI-DSS)
Knowledge of JavaScript
Experience with automated testing or UX
