We are seeking a highly skilled Appian Developer to join our Supply Chain technology team in Prague, Czech Republic. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Appian BPM development and will be responsible for delivering enhancements, resolving defects, and ensuring smooth application performance.
Work Model
- Hybrid (2 or 3 days / Week)
Responsibilities
Application Development & Enhancements
- Design, develop, and implement Appian applications, workflows, and interfaces.
- Deliver enhancements to existing supply chain applications ensuring scalability and performance.
- Act as the primary business-facing contact for application support, issue resolution, requirements analysis, and translating business needs into actionable technical solutions.
- Perform hands-on development, configuration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities across Appian applications ensuring operation stability and service excellence.
- Provide technical and functional leadership to the PPM Squad by leveraging strong Appian platform expertise, guiding team delivery, enforcing best practices as needed.
Bug Fixes & Maintenance
- Support end-to-end application operations, maintenance, enhancement delivery, and production support across all Product Portfolio Management (PPM) applications with a primary focus on Appian solutions.
- Analyze and resolve application defects promptly.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
Technical Leadership
- Act as the key business-facing partner for application support, issue management, requirements gathering, and solution delivery.
- Work independently on assigned tasks and projects.
- Provide guidance and best practices to junior developers and team members.
Collaboration
- Partner with business analysts and supply chain stakeholders to gather requirements.
- Ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct unit testing and support UAT for all deliverables.
- Maintain documentation for all development activities.
Requirements
Technical Expertise
- Strong proficiency in Appian BPM (latest versions preferred).
- Experience with Appian objects: Process Models, Rules, Records, Sites, Interfaces, and Integrations.
Additional Skills
- Knowledge of relational databases (SQL), web services (SOAP/REST), and integration patterns.
- Knowledge with other BPM platforms like TIBCO/ HANA.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Soft Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Appian Level 2 or Level 3 Certification.
- Experience in performance tuning and Appian best practices.
- Exposure to cloud environments and DevOps tools.
