Aviation Civil Engineer

A well-established engineering firm is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with expertise in airport and landside infrastructure to lead impactful projects. This role focuses on runway, roadway, and related civil design-ideal for those passionate about aviation and transportation systems.

Location

Hunt Valley, MD (Local candidates preferred; relocation candidates considered)

Responsibilities

• Design and manage civil engineering projects, including runways, roadways, and drainage systems, using AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley Open Roads/MicroStation.
• Develop construction documents, cost estimates, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with FAA Advisory Circulars (experience with DoD/UFC criteria is a plus).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Professional Engineer (PE) License (or equivalent).
• 4-8+ years of civil design experience, preferably in aviation or roadway projects.
• Strong task management skills and proficiency in construction estimating.

Nice to Have

• Experience with runways and taxiways design.
• Familiarity with road design.
