Responsibilities

As an Accounting Expert, you will play a central role in ensuring the secure, precise, and legally compliant recording of all complex financial transactions and in the professional preparation of our company's financial statements. You will ensure the integrity of our financial data, advise management on balance sheet-related issues, and be responsible for the quality and continuous improvement of our accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Statements & Booking Transactions: You will independently prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to IFRS and HGB and take sole responsibility for all balance sheet-relevant entries (provisions, allocations, intercompany, fixed assets, leasing, foreign currencies).
Valuation, Taxes & Audit: You will resolve complex balance sheet and valuation issues and serve as the contact person for tax advisors and auditors, prepare tax-relevant data (VAT, corporate tax/trade tax preliminary work), and provide expert advice to internal interfaces within the company and group.
Compliance & Risk Management: You will ensure compliance with GoB, HGB, UStG, and compliance regulations and ensure audit-proof documentation, handling sensitive data with care.
Process Optimization & Reporting: You will analyze and optimize existing accounting processes according to best practices and create structured key figure reports.
Projects & Cross-Functional Work: You will take project responsibility, develop new specialist concepts, and work closely with different departments, controlling, and the management level.

Requirements

Qualification: Commercial education with a focus on accounting including further education as a certified public accountant (IHK) or a degree with a focus on finance/accounting.
Experience: At least 5–7 years of professional experience in financial accounting (senior/expert level) with solid practical experience in preparing financial statements according to IFRS and HGB as well as experience in tax and audit processes.
Systems & IT: Very good ERP knowledge (SAP S/4HANA Finance) and advanced use of MS Excel.
Personality: High degree of independence, strong quality and compliance awareness (GoB/UStG) as well as strong communication skills and discretion in handling financial data.
