Data Scientist

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist with expertise in AI, machine learning, and data engineering to join our team in Heidelberg, Germany. This role offers the opportunity to work both on-site and remotely.

About the Position

We are looking for a passionate and innovative Data Scientist to contribute to our cutting-edge projects in the energy, water, and environment sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing AI agents, data science, and machine learning, with a focus on explainable AI and data engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI agents using LangChain/LangGraph, RAG-Pipelines, and vector databases.
• Extract and analyze large datasets systematically.
• Create interpretable machine learning models.
• Design and manage ETL pipelines and data processing for AI-driven applications.
• Configure and operate machine learning workloads on Microsoft Azure and Copilot Studio.
• Develop web applications and APIs using React.js, FastAPI, and Flask.
• Provide lectures and knowledge transfer on AI and data science in companies (e.g., DHBW Mannheim).

Requirements

• 0 - 5 years of professional experience.
• Proficiency in Python, NumPy, OpenCV, TensorFlow, Azure Machine Learning, Data Science, PyTorch, React.js, Flask, Multi-Agent Systems, SAP BTP, FastAPI, pandas, Scikit Learn, Machine Learning Operations, Data Pipeline, and Docker.
• Native speaker of Deutsch and fluent in Englisch.

Experience

• Copilot Studio Rollout: Enterprise-wide implementation of Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Agent-based Sales Controlling: Development of an agentic solution for automating sales controlling processes.
• Bankruptcy Early Warning Monitor: ML-based early warning system for identifying B2B customers with high insolvency risk.
• Meter Reading Validation: Automated validation of meter readings in SAP ISU for network operators and suppliers.
• Normalization of Load Profile Data: LLM-supported dynamic code generation for normalizing load time series.
• Knowledge Management via RAG Architecture: Enterprise-wide knowledge management system based on a custom RAG pipeline.
• Traffic Light Detection in Autonomous Driving: Real-time detection of traffic light states, pictograms, and ego-relevance.
• ML-supported Castability Analysis / iCasting: Development of a computer vision model for automatic castability assessment of 3D objects.
