About the Position
One of our better clients is looking for a Director of Finance to manage all aspects of finance for a growing business segment with operations in the US, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute extensively in a growing company as well as serve on the leadership team of a key business segment with aggressive growth plans.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the Group President to drive long-term strategic planning, consistent revenue growth, and world-class financial management.
- Develop business relationships with key leaders in operations, engineering, HR, and IT to facilitate strategic growth.
- Lead and develop a team of finance professionals while continuously striving for higher levels of performance.
- Build and manage a team of capable financial professionals.
- Provide consistent coaching, counseling, and mentoring activities required for a high-performance team.
- Lead finance integration and ERP implementation for the division.
- Continually investigate opportunities to standardize and optimize business and financial processes.
- Lead division's financial processes including monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control.
- Analyze current and past trends for key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Monitor KPIs highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.
- Quarterly and monthly financial reports and ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
- Implement and improve existing business intelligence tools and dashboard reports.
- Provide strong leadership regarding financial modeling, planning, and analysis to support strategic initiatives.
- Analyze complex financial information to provide accurate financial recommendations.
- Engage and partner with the business by delivering insightful analysis on key focus areas.
- Communicate key business issues and opportunities in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
- Build and develop business presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Provide consistent, timely, and relevant information to key company stakeholders including the CEO and CFO.
- Partner with segment and corporate management on global expansion plans by providing financial leadership and insight.
- Provide financial analysis and support for organic business growth.
- Lead financial analysis for capital expenditures.
- Develop valuation conclusions and model potential M&A deals.
- Lead due diligence activities associated with evaluation of potential M&A transactions.
- Build realistic acquisition integration plans with the leadership team for any potential acquisition.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in a financial management function.
- Experience with managing a large and diverse finance team located in multiple sites with a successful track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performance teams.
- Experience working within a matrix reporting relationship.
- Experience in a manufacturing industry strongly preferred.
- High performer with a track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve problems and deliver results.
- Ability to identify crucial success factors and communicate complex issues in a straightforward and concise manner.
- High energy and a demonstrated ability to drive change within an organization; ability to influence and advise business leadership by providing valuable and forward-thinking guidance on a strategic level.
- Knowledge of corporate finance and financial analysis including financial statement analysis.
- Must have a solid understanding of corporate financials, public company accounting (GAAP & SOX) and regulatory issues.
- Must exhibit strong professionalism and be effective working with senior management.
- Must have the ability to communicate ideas clearly and possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- Should be able to analyze the competitive and economic dynamics affecting the business.
- Maintain highest levels of business and personal integrity and ethics as well as confidentiality in the handling of all information.
- 15-20% travel required (primarily US).
We Offer
- Competitive salary range: $175,000 - $180,000 per year.
- Incentive: Target bonus of 30% (max up to 60%) plus long-term bonus target 30% (max up to 60%).
