About the Position

Uklon is a technology company that developed the eponymous mobile application. Founded in Kyiv in 2010, Uklon started as a ride-hailing platform and has evolved into a multi-service digital ecosystem integrating ride-hailing, Uklon Delivery, Uklon Ads, Uklon Store, and the Uklon Travel bus ticket booking service. Responsibilities

• Calculate team members’ income in UAH based on the remuneration received in foreign currency
• Calculate private entrepreneur taxes (single tax, unified social contribution, military levy) and monitor timely payment by the team member
• Prepare and submit private entrepreneur tax returns
• Communicate with team members regarding amounts, tax payment deadlines and reporting dates, including deadline reminders
• Create primary documentation: invoices and acts
• Monitor the launch and signing of contracts with new team members - verifying the accuracy of data and payment details
• Process accruals and payments in the ERP system for each team member
• Handle enquiries from the tax authorities (requests, demands, remarks) - analysing the situation and responding in good time
• Support team members in registering as private entrepreneurs, where needed, for new joiners who are not yet registered
• Work with electronic cabinets (Diia, the taxpayer’s cabinet, etc.) - submitting documents, tax returns and applications in line with the requirements of each service

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a related administrative role
• Knowledge of private entrepreneur taxation: the simplified system, tax groups, single tax, unified social contribution and military levy - an understanding of how these taxes are calculated and of payment and reporting deadlines
• An understanding of the rules for working with private entrepreneurs beyond the basic level: criteria and thresholds for moving between tax groups, the registration procedure and the logic behind the main electronic cabinets (Diia, the taxpayer’s cabinet)
• Confident MS Excel skills: calculations, tables and working with data sets covering several private entrepreneurs at once
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility - the work is cyclical and leaves no room for errors in amounts or dates
• Communication skills - regular interaction with team members who are not accountants by background, and the ability to explain complex matters in simple terms
• The ability to work effectively whilst multitasking, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

Nice to Have

• ERP systems - a willingness to learn and work with BAS ERP and, in the longer term, Microsoft Dynamics; previous experience with an accounting system will be an advantage
• English – Pre-Intermediate or above will be an advantage
