Responsibilities

• Leadership and Coordination: Oversee and manage all trades on the construction site, coordinating daily activities of Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, E&I, HSE, and QA/QC to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently according to approved drawings, procedures, and client specifications.
• Planning and Scheduling: Develop construction schedules and project controls, update weekly and three-weekly look-ahead plans for subcontractors, and ensure alignment with the baseline schedule.
• Progress Monitoring: Monitor construction progress, identify schedule risks early, and implement appropriate measures to restore schedules, preventing delays.
• Subcontractor Management: Manage and coordinate subcontractors through the site team, ensuring adequate personnel, suitable equipment, and high productivity while meeting safety and quality requirements.
• Reporting: Record daily construction progress and prepare weekly progress reports for the client, detailing current project status, upcoming work, existing risks, and planned countermeasures.
• Coordination and Meetings: Participate in coordination and client meetings, supporting the resolution of technical issues and challenges on the construction site.
• Resource Management: Coordinate available site resources to adhere to the schedule, acting within agreed authorities, while changes in scope or commercial adjustments require written approval from the project manager, company, or client.

Requirements

• Education: Successful completion of a degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: More than ten years of experience in construction site management in power plant or facility construction in the oil and gas industry.
• Skills: Extensive experience in managing complex construction sites and coordinating interdisciplinary site teams and subcontractors.
• Methodologies: Proficiency in applying scheduling and project control methods, with experience in creating and updating construction schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Risk Management: Ability to identify project risks early, develop appropriate countermeasures, and consistently follow through on their implementation.
• Communication: Fluent communication skills in German (native level) and English, with the ability to work confidently with international project stakeholders.
