About the Position

We are looking for a Chief Accountant / Chief Accountant for our client, a dynamically growing Polish medical group.

This role is for someone who combines accounting and tax knowledge with the ability to organize processes and team work. The person hired will have a real impact on the development of the accounting department and the efficiency of the Group's companies, working closely with the management.

Location: Warszawa, Poland

Type: On-site

Contract: B2B contract, employment contract

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the proper conduct of accounting for Group companies in accordance with applicable regulations and adopted accounting policies.
• Independently preparing individual and consolidated financial statements.
• Ensuring the correctness of tax settlements and timely fulfillment of reporting obligations.
• Reviewing current accounting processes, identifying areas requiring changes, and implementing improvements.
• Organizing settlements, chart of accounts, and cost center structure.
• Verifying and standardizing accounting policies and accounting principles in Group companies.
• Co-creating the division of responsibilities in the areas of liabilities, receivables, and general ledger AP, AR, and GL, and organizing team work.
• Limiting manual work, developing automation.
• Ongoing cooperation with management and persons responsible for finance and controlling.

Requirements

• Experience in managing full accounting and independently preparing financial statements, including consolidated ones.
• Very good knowledge of Polish accounting and tax regulations and the ability to apply them in practice.
• Ability to organize accounting processes, set priorities, and organize task distribution.
• Independence, responsibility, and initiative in identifying and solving problems.
• Ability to work with a team of diverse experience and communicate with management.
• Openness to new tools, automation, and changes in work organization.
• Experience in the medical or related industry is welcome.
• Experience in SSC departments is welcome.
