About the Position

ING Analytics Senior Business Control Officer

As a Senior Business Control Officer, you enable effective non-financial risk management across ING Analytics (INGA) by driving risk identification, strengthening the control environment, and coordinating the execution of key risk and control deliverables. The role spans oversight, implementation, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement across topics such as operational and compliance risks, control execution, RCSA, key control monitoring, issue management, and regulatory or policy alignment. You play a central role in helping the department manage risk in a structured, practical, and forward-looking way while supporting informed decision-making across the ING Analytics.

The ideal candidate will bring strong banking experience from risk management, consulting, or technology-related environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and monitor operational and compliance risks, ensuring they are managed within the organization’s risk appetite.
• Implement all applicable policies and frameworks that are applicable to INGA.
• Execute all applicable controls to INGA and create evidence of the said execution and obtain 2nd LoD and local NFRC (INGA Risk MT) approvals where necessary.
• Monitor control efficiency: coordination of Key Control Monitoring (KCM) for the applicable controls. This may include planning, preparation, communication with involved parties, creation of reporting and sample selection criteria, overseeing the progress of the KCM, assisting with providing additional evidence, and critically reviewing the results.
• Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of entity-level Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and coordinates the follow-up of the identified mitigating measures implementation.
• Organize and/or participate in gap analysis/ad hoc risk assessment activities related to the implementation of new/updated control standards and/or new tooling and processes.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective risk management practices are integrated into business processes.
• Stakeholder management: Active engagement in different communication channels between all risk parties and the INGA management team.
• Provide NFR expert advice and guidance on risk-related matters to senior management and stakeholders.
• Prepare and present BCO scope of work for NFRC meeting.
• Lead and contribute to BCO function-related initiatives/projects within INGA.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management practices, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in operational and compliance risk management.
• Monitor the status of generic risk issues and coordinate with the Manila Issue management team on behalf of INGA and ensure implementing adequate controls in each tested area.
• Inform management and propose solutions to implement the set of directives within the framework and local policies on non-financial risk, as instructed by the ING Group and best practice in the field.
• Maintain the relationship with other functional lines and transform the business entities’ requirements into operational activities, monitoring their implementation.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in operational risk management.
• 3-5 years' experience in risk management in the banking sector, technology (cybersecurity, artificial intelligence).
• Control-oriented and analytical thinking/judgment aimed at assessing specific risks.
• A real team player with excellent written and oral communication skills while interacting with many departments within the organization.
• Proven experience operating in a fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging environment, with confidence in managing complex and senior stakeholders.
• English is mandatory.

We Offer

• Wage (gross): 3,443 EUR/month

By legal requirement, we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than the mentioned minimum salary component.
