IT Business Analyst - Cards@ING Hubs Romania

We are seeking an IT Business Analyst for our Cards@ING Hubs Romania team to work in the core banking domain, focusing on understanding and implementing business requirements.

ING Hubs Romania offers 130 services in software development, data management, non-financial risk & compliance, audit, and retail operations to 24 ING units worldwide, with the help of over 2000 high-performing engineers, risk, and operations professionals. We operate from two locations: Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca.

The Mission

As an IT Business Analyst within the core banking domain, you will be responsible for understanding business requirements, finding implementation options together with a Developer, and presenting the solution to the business. You will also need to understand business requirements from different banking areas and collaborate with other senior engineers, architects, and feature engineers. You are the IT Business Analyst we are looking for if you have a strong technical background, experience in designing technical solutions, implementing automated tests, and being comfortable with reading and understanding code.

Responsibilities

Interpret and clarify requirements and refine the product backlog;
Design multiple technical solutions and validate the best one with the developer and Product Owner;
Write software development technical specifications and user stories and help estimate their complexity;
Analyze processes and work with business owners and end users to ensure the system correctly models their latest process;
Understand and translate complex business needs/requirements into functional specifications;
Handle a request end-to-end: ability to lead requirements, business process definition, and design sessions with decision makers (product owner and/or his representatives), system owners, and end users, under minimal supervision and guidance;
Ensure the quality of the software and consider non-functional requirements (security, performance, availability, or scalability);
Manage quality assurance processes to ensure submitted development work meets requirements;
Build, optimize, and automate processes - analyze dependencies, predict consequences, and identify areas for improvement;
Deliver training, documentation, and technical support for the developed products/solutions. Acts as a mentor for less experienced colleagues;
Participate in daily agile ceremonies with in-house and external developers to help ensure that work in progress will meet requirement goals;
Collaborate with developers to adapt solutions to the existing environment;
Create automated functional tests for user stories and SMOKE. Build and execute (automated) functional and integration tests and (automated) user acceptance and production tests.

Requirements

Experience:

Ideally min 5 years experience in Banking - on cards issuing (meaning that the candidates have experience in cards at a bank's side)

Tech stack / knowledge:

Experience with Worldline or some other card processor
Experience working with API (CABI or AMS API)
Good to have - knowledge of payments (SEPA, SWIFT) - knowledge of standard financial messaging protocols (ISO20022, SWIFT MT/MX)
Experience in using automation frameworks is considered a plus;
Experienced in provider management and if you are acquainted with ensuring governance and regulatory requirements;
Understand and work according to ITIL processes;
Got in touch with microservice architecture and understand the concept of self-contained systems;
Have worked with relational databases, ideally Oracle, and if you can use SQL;
Worked in agile and non-agile projects.

Education: Successfully completed studies in (business) informatics, business administration, or an equivalent qualification.

Languages: English, German is a plus.
