About the Position

IT Business Analyst - IFS @ING Hubs Romania

ING Hubs Romania offers 130 services in software development, data management, non-financial risk & compliance, audit, and retail operations to 24 ING units worldwide, with the help of over 2000 high-performing engineers, risk, and operations professionals.

We are looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our team in Bucharest, Romania. The role is focused on supporting the International Finance System (IFS), an in-house developed core banking system for Wholesale Banking clients.

The Mission

The IFS application offers business services to international branches of ING, including payment and cash management services, lending, and financial market services. The main modules are: Account Management, Accounting (GL), Payments and Cash Management, Commercial Loans & Credits, Back-office arbitrage, and Static data.

Your day to day

• Provide support to application users by resolving incidents;
• Participate in feature description (confluence);
• Outline the logical architecture solution in Functional Analysis together with architect, feature engineer, product owner, application leader;
• Coordinate and align with PO / developer(s) / OPS / stakeholders to fit changes in release;
• Organize peer-to-peer review (with senior analyst);
• Assist in: testing (test cases & test data preparation), implementation, and migration;
• Use AI in day-to-day activities;
• Assist and help stakeholders with UAT testing.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Writing pseudocode – solving easy programming problems;
• SQL: comfortable writing medium difficulty queries daily (JOINs, sub queries, GROUP BY, HAVING);
• Experience in a software development team in either one of these roles: Technical Business Analyst/Tester/Developer;
• English – fluent; communicating with offshore teams daily.

Nice to have:

• Core banking experience;
• Agile methodology;
• Efficient AI prompting knowledge;
• Banking/payments SWIFT standard (non-exhaustive list includes: MT103, 101, 202, 202COV, 203, 200, 210).
