Java Backend Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a Java Backend Developer to build and evolve scalable, high-performance services that power mobile and web experiences used daily by thousands of professionals. You will collaborate in an agile team to deliver secure APIs and reliable microservices-apply now to help shape backend systems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build RESTful APIs for mobile and web applications
• Develop secure and reliable microservices with strong performance characteristics
• Optimize database models and data access layers for scalability
• Integrate external APIs and third-party platforms
• Collaborate with engineers, product partners, QA, and architects to deliver solutions
• Participate in system design sessions, code reviews, and architectural discussions
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability and performance
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following engineering best practices
• Contribute to CI/CD improvements, automation, and modern development practices

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with Java in production backend development
• Experience with Spring Boot for building services and APIs
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute in an Agile/Scrum setup
• Solid project ownership skills for delivering backend features from design to release
• Strong REST API design knowledge and microservices fundamentals
• Relational database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
• Persistence framework knowledge with JPA/Hibernate or similar ORM tools
• Version control proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows
• Testing mindset with unit and integration testing frameworks
• Strong analytical skills and practical problem-solving abilities
• Clear communication skills for technical discussions and code reviews
• English proficiency: B2 Upper-Intermediate

Nice to Have

• Cloud platform experience with AWS or GCP
• Docker experience for containerized development and deployment
• Kubernetes experience for orchestrating microservices
• OAuth2 knowledge for secure authorization flows
• Single Sign-On experience with SSO and related authentication patterns
