Payer Partnerships Lead, Strategy & Operations

Headway is on a mission to revolutionize mental healthcare by building a new system that everyone can access. We've automated the administrative burden of insurance, and now we're expanding our platform to serve over 1 million patients with the best tools for therapists. We're looking for a Payer Partnerships Lead, Strategy & Operations to help us deepen our strategic health plan partnerships and drive further alignment.

Responsibilities

• Long-term management of health plan partnerships with major US health plans
• Navigate contract strategy and renegotiations to optimize partnership success
• Build and grow relationships with health plan teams and leadership
• Lead market analysis and own healthcare research to shape strategy
• Leverage data to generate insights and identify new partnership opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal stakeholders to inform product and operations strategy

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the healthcare space
• Deep exposure to payer business models and economics
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive towards outcomes
• Highly data-driven and a self-starter
• Operationally excellent with the ability to manage multiple high-impact customers

Nice to Have

• Experience in Customer Success, Business Development, or strategic customer-facing roles
• Complex analysis and problem-solving skills
