Linux Admin DevOps Automation

About the Position

We are seeking a Linux Admin DevOps Automation expert with 2+ years of experience in Linux, source code control, Puppet, Jenkins, and AWS cloud technologies to join our team in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot Linux (RedHat/CentOS) servers
• Utilize source code control tools (Git/SVN)
• Deploy software to Linux and Windows servers using Puppet
• Automate builds for C++, Java, and .Net code with Jenkins
• Manage Python environments using virtual environments
• Work with AWS cloud technologies (VPC, EC2 instances, S3) and cloud automation
• Script using Bash, Perl, and Python
• Build and package code using RPM, Conda, and Windows MSI
• Demonstrate proficiency in SQL
• Work under pressure and deliver projects with short timelines
• Follow best practices and thoroughly document all work/projects
• Experience in financial industry environments

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with Linux (RedHat/CentOS) engineering/administration/troubleshooting
• 2+ years of experience using source code control tools (Git/SVN)
• 2+ years of experience using Puppet to deploy software to Linux and Windows servers
• 2+ years of experience using Jenkins to automatically build C++, Java, .Net code
• 2+ years of experience managing Python environments using virtual environments
• 2+ years of experience with AWS cloud technologies (VPC, EC2 instances, S3) and cloud automation
• 2+ years of experience with scripting (Bash/Perl/Python)
• 2+ years of experience building code and packaging it (RPM, Conda, Windows MSI)
• Proficiency in SQL
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver projects with short timelines
• Demonstrated ability to follow best practices and thoroughly document all work/projects
• Experience/familiarity with financial industry environments
