About the Role

You are the "network glue" for the operation of a complex, automated cloud environment distributed across multiple data centers in Germany. This means you keep everything connected. Together with your team, you ensure that our network infrastructure is always available and powerful. You act as the contact person for technical and conceptual questions and support your colleagues in various teams, as we believe that we can only generate added value together.

Responsibilities

• Planning, setup, operation, and continuous development of our network infrastructure
• Support regarding the consolidation of the cloud and network stack (Architecture/Design, Network Hardware/Software)
• Creation and maintenance of documentation for the network infrastructure
• Administration and troubleshooting of network resources
• Participation as a contact person for network topics in the on-call rotation after the probationary period (extra compensation)

Requirements

• Relevant experience in the evaluation, design planning, implementation, and operation of cloud network infrastructures
• Proficiency in using the CLI and at least one scripting language such as Bash, Ansible, Python, or Perl
• Experience with switching fabrics (IP/VXLAN/EVPN) as well as Fortigate firewalls (basics/clustering/VPNs) and F5 (basics/clustering/LTM)
• Practical experience with various vendors such as Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Mellanox, and Ubiquiti (Unifi)
