Project Specialist - Night Shift

About the Position

Project Specialist - Night Shift (18244) - role at PGL (Perimeter Global Logistics).

Responsibilities

• Pull parts from inventory requested by technicians
• Maintain inventory stock levels and notify materials coordinators of parts needing to be reordered
• Pick up and deliver parts and materials as needed
• Perform receiving inspection of parts and materials to ensure conformity with FAA regulations and customer requirements
• Process core returns to vendors
• Ensure conformity with FAA regulatory requirements (Calibration, certification, shelf life, parts quarantine)
• Thoroughly inspect tools as issued out and back in to technicians
• Perform regular inventory, cycle counts and maintain min/max requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of parts department
• Flexible schedule as required to meet the demand of the business
• Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products
• Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities
• Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as distribution cost or availability
• Analyze customer needs to determine how to increase service scope, reduce waste, or optimize customer service
• Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance
• Assist with the negotiation of prices and terms with suppliers and/or vendors
• Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts or changes
• Implement new or improved supply chain processes
• Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies
• Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
• Participate in the coordination of new facilities implementation
• Analyze information about supplier performance or procurement program success
• Select transportation solutions to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution
• Develop or implement procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers
• Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows
• Develop forecasts or standard cost lists
• Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-3 years of logistics services and/or experience in aviation parts inventory management/fulfillment
• Certifications: AOG experience a plus, Hazmat certification a plus, SIDA certification required
• Skills: Active Listening, Critical Thinking, Negotiation, Time Management
• Tools: Logistics and supply chain software, Microsoft Excel

Requirements

• Industry related degree and/or certification
• Ability to work a variable schedule, including overtime, weekends, and holidays

• Competitive salary range: USD 40.000 - 55.000 per year
