About the Position

We are seeking a Python Software Architect with expertise in Django, PostgreSQL, and cloud infrastructure to join our remote team.

We specialize in mobile and web development and work with clients from Poland, UK, Scandinavia, Germany, Estonia, and the USA. Our team includes Analysts, Designers, Developers, Testers, Admins, and Project Managers. We are actively developing our offerings, including an internal strategy for AI development. Our technology stack includes Java, PHP, Android, iOS, Kotlin, JavaScript, React, Angular,.NET, MySQL, Cypress, and many more.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop the overall system architecture in line with product and business goals.
• Translate business needs into clear architectural direction and technology priorities.
• Collaborate closely with business, product, and development teams from the early stages of solution design.
• Review key project decisions, identify risks, and support teams in making the right technological compromises.
• Ensure consistency, scalability, and quality of architecture within the system and collaborating teams.
• Support development teams through architectural consultations, mentoring, and assistance in solving complex problems.
• Co-create technology roadmaps and ensure their alignment with business and product priorities.
• Coordinate agreements between teams and lead discussions on complex or conflicting requirements.
• Maintain high quality of implemented solutions and technical details.
• Occasional travel to Norway or our office in Gdansk for project meetings and events.

Requirements

• Experience as a Software Architect / Solution Architect.
• Expert knowledge of Python.
• Excellent knowledge of Django 4.2, including Django Rest Framework, Django Filters, and Celery.
• Practical experience with Django ORM, designing data models, and making decisions about data structure and storage.
• Excellent knowledge of PostgreSQL and experience in database optimization, queries, and data access.
• Experience in designing solutions for system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience in designing complex system architecture and making long-term technology decisions.
• Ability to combine business, product, and technology perspectives.
• Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems.
• Knowledge of Git and experience working with GitHub.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
• Excellent English proficiency at C1 level.
