Senior Node.js Developer

About the Position

Somplo is an Israeli / Ukrainian tech-based company, specializing in digital advertising solutions for major agencies and international leading brands. With offices in Israel and Odesa, Ukraine, and a team of around 40 employees, we are a friendly startup environment full of creative and high-quality professionals. Our company is rapidly growing, and we are excited to welcome new members who can bring innovative ideas.

We are currently looking for a Senior Node.js Developer who is ready to work on Somplo’s product and contribute to transforming the future of online advertising. This is a HYBRID position available only for candidates based in Odesa, Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js
• Work with databases to build efficient, scalable data models
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and REST APIs
• Experience working with backend architectures and services
• Basic knowledge of PHP (ability to read and maintain existing code)
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git)
• Good written and spoken English (Upper-Intermediate - B2)

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.)
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with iO River
• Experience with Docker / containerization
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
