Senior power electronics engineer

About the Position

10-Pro Consulting is currently seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer for a multinational Canadian company based in Mumbai or Delhi, India. This role is pivotal for our client's innovative R&D team, which is at the forefront of their industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead Development: Oversee the development of embedded control software for a range of motor inverters, onboard chargers, and other power converters, from initial concept through to production ramp-up.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor less experienced software engineers, defining technology roadmaps for eMobility power conversion control.
• Ecosystem Management: Identify and manage a network of key technology partners to expedite the product development cycle.
• Process Improvement: Support the establishment of best design practices and internal engineering processes for embedded control software development and quality assurance. Assist in procuring necessary tools and lab equipment.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in developing embedded control software for motor inverters or other power converters in the 10kW+ range for industrial or eMobility applications.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in power converter control PCBAs, including processor selection, mixed-signal circuit design, EMC, and PCB layout.
  • In-depth understanding of asynchronous and synchronous motor operation and control principles.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Education: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in electronics.
• Language: Working-level proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
