Senior React Native Engineer with OTT, Video and Big Screens experience

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior React Native Engineer with OTT, Video, and Big Screens experience to join our team. This role is pivotal in developing a React Native Smart TV application targeting various platforms, including Android TV, Apple TV, Fire TV, LG webOS, and Samsung Tizen.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a React Native Smart TV application from a single codebase.
• Build a next-generation multi-screen experience for live sports events.
• Implement and evolve the OTT experience, including live video streaming, VOD playback, and media controls.
• Collaborate with backend, mobile, Roku, QA, DevOps, and UX/UI teams.
• Integrate and fine-tune video playback solutions and streaming SDKs on TV platforms.
• Participate in application architecture and system design discussions.
• Collaborate directly with the client’s technical leadership.

Requirements

• Must-have:

  • Proven hands-on experience in OTT, video streaming, or media platforms.
  • Strong, practical experience with live streaming and media delivery technologies.
  • 8+ years of commercial experience in software development with React Native.
  • Solid knowledge of React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Experience integrating video playback solutions and streaming SDKs.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Confident spoken English (B2+).

• Is a plus:

  • Previous experience building multi-screen or second-screen experiences.
  • Background in sports, media, or consumer-facing streaming products.
  • Experience working in distributed, multi-vendor setups.
  • Understanding of advertising workflows in video platforms.
