Chief JavaScript Engineer (NodeJS + AWS)

About the Position

We are seeking a Chief JavaScript Engineer with extensive experience in NodeJS and AWS to lead our engineering team and projects. Join our client-centric, remote, and English-speaking environment with a multinational team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, drive, and code on assigned projects
• Build a top-class engineering team(s) – both on assigned projects and in the JavaScript unit
• Actively participate in hiring, interviewing, and staffing
• Participate in experience sharing and educational activities
• Participate in Pre-Sales and new projects acquisition

Requirements

• Must-have
  • Strong commercial software development experience building large web applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Strong experience in building applications with NodeJS
  • Exceptional experience with AWS
  • Experience in building applications with React or Angular
  • Strong (and modern) software engineering background
  • Experience in architecting of distributed systems
  • Experience in building, running, and leading high-performing, autonomous engineering teams in complex environments
  • Fundamental understanding of the principles of Agile and Lean development
  • Delivery mindset and Product mindset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, whether to the engineering team, to business stakeholders, or to our leadership team
  • Proven experience of creating a forward-thinking technology culture
