An international company in the energy sector is looking for an experienced Senior Solution Architect for its IT Architecture department. You will design and adapt technical solutions to business challenges while modernizing the application landscape, and you will be deeply involved in transformation initiatives in the (electrical) assets domain. In this role you work closely with business and IT stakeholders, subject matter experts, the architecture team and the delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Adopt and analyze constraints, non-functional and functional requirements.
• Conduct appropriate decomposition within the specifics of the business capability, resulting in relevant Solution Building Blocks using recommended architectural styles and patterns (based on Reference Architectures).
• Serve as the key link aligning all relevant stakeholders in the Product Organization, the Architecture team as well as the delivery team.
• Be part of the delivery team, ensuring solution delivery in accordance with the design.
• Deliver Architecture Designs in accordance with the Group's Architecture Vision, standards and guidelines.
• Provide designs based on your experience in integration design, application architecture and available tools.
• In the design lifecycle, follow the governance structures (Design Boards) for gating and decision making (using techniques such as ADR and ATAM).

Requirements

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in the position of Solution Architect.
• Able to work autonomously and take initiative for engaging with people at all levels.
• Result-oriented.
• Agile mindset; working experience in an Agile environment is a plus.
• Experience in GIS solutions, especially based on ArcGIS, is a plus.
• Experience in Asset Management is a plus.
• Experienced in applying IT standards such as ArchiMate, TOGAF, ATAM and CBAM.
• Able to work in a team and always open for feedback from peers.
• Familiar with architecture modeling languages such as ArchiMate; experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect is a big plus.
• Familiar with the principles of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and with the principles, opportunities and challenges of modern architectural paradigms such as microservices and event-driven architectures, and knows how to apply them.
• Always keen to learn new things, share knowledge, embrace change and learn from past experiences; drawing on a whiteboard to facilitate a debate comes naturally to you.
• Good level of Dutch and/or French and English is required.

• Duration: until 31.12.2027, approx. 14 months
• Non-EU candidates: a valid work permit and residence permit for Belgium are required
