About the Position
Senior UX Researcher

In Ukraine within the lottery technology / digital gaming industry, we are actively seeking a Senior UX Researcher to strengthen our team dedicated to building and improving a digital product that helps deliver modern lottery experiences, supports player engagement, and enables data-informed product decisions in a highly regulated environment. The product combines digital channels, software solutions, and user-focused experiences within a lottery-led entertainment domain.
Responsibilities
- Design and conduct user research to better understand customer needs and identify pain points.
- Support strategic research initiatives and translate findings into actionable insights for product direction.
- Establish and improve research processes across discovery, concept validation, and prototyping stages.
- Choose and apply the right qualitative and quantitative research methods based on product questions and goals.
- Analyse existing research, identify insight gaps, and define ways to strengthen research quality.
- Plan and run usability tests and interviews, including participant recruitment, scheduling, and moderation.
- Synthesize research findings into clear, evidence-based recommendations for Product Designers, Product Owners, and stakeholders.
- Guide teams in best research practices and advocate for user-centred design across the product development process.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in User Research.
- Strong hands-on experience with qualitative research methods, including interviews, lab studies, expert evaluations, workshops, ethnographic research, and persona development.
- Proven experience across the full research lifecycle: planning, execution, analysis, synthesis, storytelling, and presentation.
- Practical experience with usability testing, participant recruitment, scheduling, moderation, and research deliverables.
- Experience facilitating usability tests and interviews for software products, including remote research.
- Experience working closely with product development teams in an Agile environment.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate user needs and insights.
- English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher.
Nice to Have
- Relevant Master’s degree and/or PhD.
- Experience mentoring designers or team members in research best practices.
- Strong persuasion skills and confidence in promoting design-led, user-centred decision-making.
