About the Position

Millennium Health is a leading health solutions company that delivers timely, accurate, clinically actionable information to inform the right treatment decisions for each patient at the right time. Currently, we have an opportunity for a Bioinformatics Software Developer who will be responsible for the development of custom web and desktop applications and plugins for commercially-available systems. They will focus on developing scalable applications in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

Develop web and desktop applications to support laboratory operations
Develop plugins for commercially-available systems to enhance reporting and analytic functionality
Design and develop various programs and scripts to assist with data mining on MySQL or MS SQL databases
Maintain and provide support for genetics LAMP and WAMP software systems and coordinate with lab members to develop required software
Assist in development of genetic analysis algorithms as required

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Bioinformatics or Computer Science
Experience in developing software to automate data management and analysis pipelines
Experience in developing web applications and UIs
Experience working in a regulated environment is highly desired
Strong skill in relational database development; specific experience in MySQL is highly desired
Knowledge and skill in developing web applications on the LAMP
Knowledge in genetics and biology is desired
Very strong programming skills in C# or Java
Very strong web programming skill with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript or similar languages
