About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (GO) with 5+ years of experience for a remote position. This role focuses on microservices and event-driven architecture.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing backend services in Go
- Designing event-driven architecture and asynchronous interactions between services
- Participating in architectural decision-making
- Code review, maintaining code quality, and standards
- Collaborating with the team (product, frontend, DevOps, QA)
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial development, including 3+ years with Go
- Deep understanding of the language's features: goroutines, channels, context, defer, interfaces, generics
- Understanding of Go's memory model, garbage collector, escape analysis
- Experience designing and maintaining microservices
- Experience with Event-Driven Development: designing event-driven systems, asynchronous service communication, patterns (event sourcing, CQRS, pub/sub, saga)
- Understanding of SOLID, DDD, and Clean Architecture principles
- API design: REST, gRPC/Protobuf
- Experience building high-load and fault-tolerant systems
- PostgreSQL/MySQL: schema design, query optimization, indexes, transactions
- NoSQL: Redis, MongoDB, or equivalents
- Docker, Kubernetes
- CI/CD (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalents)
- Message brokers: Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS
- Git, code review culture
Nice to Have
- Experience with NATS (including JetStream): building event-driven and streaming systems
- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, structured logging
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
- Knowledge of IaC (Terraform, Helm)
- Experience with performance optimization and profilers
- Unit/integration tests (testing, testify, mocks)
- Understanding of TDD approaches, table-driven tests, benchmarks, and profiling (pprof)
Soft Skills
- Independence and accountability for results
- Experience with mentoring and conducting code reviews
- Ability to make architectural decisions and justify them
- Strong communication skills, teamwork in an Agile/Scrum environment
- English at a level sufficient for reading documentation and technical correspondence (B1+)
