About the Position

Staff Data Engineer

Headway is on a mission to build a new mental healthcare system accessible to everyone. We're looking for a Staff Data Engineer to join our team and help us achieve this mission by creating a robust and scalable data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

As a Staff Data Engineer, you will:

Define the future state of our data infrastructure.
Architect and mentor on data engineering best practices.
Establish organization-wide data standards.
Drive the design of highly scalable and optimized data models.
Lead complex, multi-functional initiatives focusing on data quality governance.
Influence technology choices and act as the primary technical interface between the Data Engineering team and senior stakeholders.

Requirements

9+ years of experience in data engineering.
Expert-level proficiency in Snowflake, dbt, Apache Airflow, and Python.
Deep mastery of advanced data modeling techniques.
Proven ability to define the technical roadmap for the entire data platform.
Strong track record of mentoring and elevating the technical skills of other data engineers.
2+ years of experience in the marketplace or two-sided platform is a significant plus.
