Staff Software Engineer (Payer)

We're looking for an exceptional Staff Software Engineer to join our Payers & Outcomes team, where you'll build intelligent systems that protect the integrity of our network and improve the quality of care.

Responsibilities

Clinical Feedback: Architect LLM-powered systems that review clinical documentation at scale and deliver real-time feedback to providers.
Detecting Risk in Healthcare Claims: Design ML/LLM systems that identify inappropriate billing, over-utilization, and low-quality care.
Measuring & Elevating Clinical Quality: Build systems that review prescribers against clinical quality standards.
Patient Needs & Provider Fit: Develop ML systems to match patients with the most suitable providers.
Trustworthy AI in Healthcare: Champion the evaluation and iteration of AI systems in a regulated environment.
Technical Foundations & Mentorship: Set the technical bar for the Payers & Outcomes group and mentor the team.

Requirements

End-to-End Product Builder: Ability to seamlessly switch between backend logic and frontend state management.
Owns Outcomes, Not Tasks: Experience turning ambiguous problems into shipped software.
Sets the Technical Standard: Make technical decisions that optimize for maintainability and scale.
Mentor by Default: Pull engineers into design discussions and ensure knowledge is shared across the team.
Ships Fast, Iterates Faster: Move quickly from problem statement to working solution.
Quick Study in Complex Domains: Ability to dive into unfamiliar domains and build a working mental model fast.
Motivated by Impact: Desire to apply engineering skills to problems that matter.
Communicates with Precision: Clear and concise communication in all forms.
AI Frontier Tinkerer: Experience pushing the limits of AI tools in real workflows.
