About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Study Manager to lead the development of multiple potential capital projects through the various stage gates from study to sanctioned project and potential project delivery. This role is a great opportunity to think strategically and develop key projects for the business. By thinking creatively, you and key stakeholders will shape the projects in early stages to maximize business value.

Responsibilities

  • Use project management best practices to validate viability and its alignment with the longer term business plan.
  • Manage resources, budgets, changes, and risks for a successful business investment.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement while using capital project processes, practices, and tools.
  • Collaborate with the team and key stakeholders to support the development, evaluation, and progression of high-value projects.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive a culture of collaboration, participation, and improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering and Professional Engineer designation (desired).
  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience.
  • Formal Project Management and leadership training and experience.
  • Demonstrated communication skills and the ability to grow relationships with internal customers, technologists, engineers, and project managers.
  • Experience leading a team in the development of projects utilizing sound project and business management practices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in mineral and mining processing.
  • PMP certification.
