About the Position
We are seeking a thoughtful System Analyst who understands business needs and can turn them into clear, workable requirements for our engineering teams. This is a full-time remote position.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with domain experts, developers, QA engineers, and delivery managers.
- Translate between business goals and technical implementation details.
- Establish and improve the analysis process within a project.
- Work with web services, APIs, and databases.
- Participate in the full requirements lifecycle.
- Prepare specifications, operating procedures, and user documentation.
- Coordinate implementation from task definition through development support and business acceptance.
Requirements
- Professional experience as a system analyst or business analyst.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Structured thinking, clear written communication, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to elicit functional and technical requirements and document them for engineers.
- Experience visualizing processes and requirements with BPMN, UML, or comparable notation.
- Experience preparing project scope, use cases, specifications, and technical requirements.
- Understanding of relational databases and practical SQL.
- Knowledge of SOAP, REST, and service-oriented architectures.
- Ownership of ambiguous problems and a willingness to investigate complex systems.
- Upper-intermediate English is a strong advantage.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Agile, Lean, or Scrum delivery.
- Practical understanding of API design and operation.
- Experience maintaining documentation in wiki systems.
- Experience in banking or financial services.
