We are seeking a Talent Partner (m/f/d) to lead hiring across our entire company, shaping our recruitment process and strategy in a fast-growing AI-led roll-up.

About Buena

Buena, funded by Google Ventures, is one of the first AI-led roll-ups in Germany. We take over property management companies and transform them into technology companies. In less than three years, we have become the second-largest property management company in Germany: over 30 portfolio companies, around 400 employees, and more than 100,000 managed units.

We are meritocratic: Our CEO was a Junior Product Manager three years ago, and our COO was Chief of Staff two years ago. In the HQ, we have fewer than 30 full-time employees.

Recruiting is a Decisive Factor for Buena

A software startup builds a product. A roll-up operates a large portfolio in addition. In a classical roll-up, only the owner changes, and the job remains the same. With Buena's business model, almost every job in the portfolio companies and in the HQ changes fundamentally: Our property management software and additional revenue channels redefine value creation in the industry.

This means we fill two to three times as many critical roles as in a software startup, and many of these roles did not exist before. Each hire accelerates M&A, Operations, and Tech or slows it down. Recruiting at Buena is not a support function but decides how fast we grow.

Responsibilities

As a Talent Partner, you will be responsible for hiring across the entire company: HQ roles in Ops, Tech, and Design, as well as leadership roles in the portfolio, from managing directors to regional managers. In the next twelve months, this will be around 35-40 hires. You will report to our Head of People and work directly with our CEO and COO. Your work will be measured by the quality, speed, and predictability of our hiring.

• You will build recruiting from the ground up. We are defining a new sector; there is no playbook to copy. You will shape how we define roles, find, evaluate, and convince talent, and turn it into a process that others can follow.
• You will be responsible for the tooling. You will set the standards for our ATS and our sourcing stack and continuously test what's next. If a new tool makes hiring faster, you will find it first.
• You will recruit for HQ and the portfolio. You will conduct end-to-end searches, from intake to signed contract, for very different roles: from an engineer in Berlin to the managing director of a portfolio company.
• You will sell Buena and lead the process. You will conduct interviews, convince candidates of the opportunity, manage senior stakeholders, and show hiring managers how good hiring works.
• You will have the resources. Budget for tools, agencies, campaigns, and support is almost unlimited. Employer branding is one of our focuses next year, and you will shape it together. Shortly after your start, a trainee or intern is expected to join.

You Fit If You

• Want to work on-site at our HQ in Berlin (Prenzlauer Berg).
• Speak German and English at C2 or C1 level.
• Have worked in recruiting in a VC-backed environment and managed roles from intake to signed contract.
• Have built AI-native recruiting workflows yourself, for example, your own CRM, sourcing automations, or workflows with Clay or Metaview, and can show them to us.
• Are deeply involved operationally and prefer to conduct searches yourself rather than delegate them.
• Can sell: You conduct interviews confidently and can effectively lead critical discussions with senior stakeholders.
