About the Position

We are looking for someone to fill the position of Training Development Manager. The Training Development Manager will have a background in Food Safety or Pharmaceuticals either from a regulatory perspective or (preferably) from working within the food or pharma industry. This individual would have a good understanding of the unique environments, products, and needs of the food and/or pharma industry. They will have intimate knowledge of the challenges the food/pharma industry faces regarding hygienic design and sanitation. They will be familiar with US FDA and USDA regulations as well as other international food regulations. They will also be familiar with Domestic, International, and Global Food Safety Standards. This role will require constant and frequent interaction with most departments within the company, as well as our partners, customers, and end users. Our ideal candidate should be extremely good at ALL forms of communication, and know when to use each.

Responsibilities

  • Review of all published information for marketing and sales from a technical accuracy perspective
  • Ensure that all product specifications are accurate and descriptions are consistent
  • Generation and maintenance of all internal training materials
  • Generation and maintenance of all external technical training materials
  • Participate in external training with distributors when needed
  • Participate in external training with end users when needed
  • Train sales to understand when to do each of the above
  • Primary technical liaison with distribution partner
  • Evaluation of industry groups
  • Hold primary memberships in chosen groups
  • White papers
  • Work with marketing and/or ghostwriter on final product when needed
  • Identify/qualify cooperative training opportunities
  • Creation and maintenance of training video content

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum 2 years industry or regulatory experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Professional, positive demeanor

  • Team and service oriented

  • Business acumen

  • Ability to assist and identify needs of coworkers, customers, and end users through research and established company practices

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • High personal accountability

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • Ability to develop food safety and product training competencies, curriculums, and effectiveness studies and execute them in a concise, accurate, and timely fashion

  • Food Safety Certifications considered a plus

    • Examples: HACCP MGR, CPFS, CCFS, REHS/RS, PCQI
