About the Position
AI Portfolio Lead (f/m/d)
COMPARUS GmbH is seeking an AI Portfolio Lead to translate the potential of AI into measurable business impact. This role involves managing the AI portfolio, developing a clear vision, and ensuring responsible implementation.
Responsibilities
- Translate the potential of AI into measurable business impact – from the initial idea, through proof of concept (PoC) and minimum viable product (MVP), to scaled, compliant production operations with clear KPIs, a clear narrative, and high adoption rates.
- Manage the company-wide AI portfolio – from intake and prioritization through to evidence-based decision-making aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Develop a clear AI vision and roadmap, ensure transparency for management, and represent the portfolio in strategic committees.
- Balance business value, risk, feasibility, and compliance, and ensure that AI initiatives are implemented responsibly, sustainably, and to a high standard.
- Bridge the gap between business, technology teams, and management, foster an AI mindset, and establish standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Advise implementation teams as a sparring partner and ensure that solutions meet technical and regulatory requirements as well as best practices.
- Create structures and promote cross-functional learning processes, e.g., through libraries, playbooks, training, and knowledge-sharing formats, and embed AI as a scalable capability.
- Design KPI frameworks, monitoring, and reporting systems; support pilot projects and prototypes; evaluate results based on data; and steer the successful scaling of initiatives.
Requirements
- A degree (ideally in STEM or Business Administration with a focus on technology) or equivalent professional experience.
- Several years’ experience in product or portfolio management of digital solutions – ideally with a focus on AI/analytics.
- Customer- and value-focused: a strong agile mindset, with an independent, analytical, and goal-oriented approach to work.
- Strategic strength: the ability to balance business value, risk, feasibility, and compliance on the basis of facts.
- Stakeholder excellence: communication tailored to the audience, right up to executive level; confident in building alignment and trust.
- In-depth understanding and proven experience in the field of data platforms, AI/ML solutions, and the use of GenAI in a corporate context; confident in assessing trends and technologies.
- International experience, business-fluent in English; German C1.
