Process Automation Expertise

Many insurance companies, serving increasingly demanding customers and sales partners, still lag behind in terms of the speed and quality of their digital services. They are looking for new solutions for automating business processes to improve the level of their services, accelerate typical insurance processes, and overcome the friction losses still common in transactions within the industry. Business process automation improves all functions of the insurance industry. It is used in policy administration, claims processing, and many other areas of the insurance value chain.

Your Responsibilities

• Creation and expansion of concepts for the optimized support and automation of business processes.
• Development of features and improvements in a secure, well-tested, and performant manner, adhering to our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices.
• Test planning, coordination, and execution, as well as support of applications in ongoing operations.
• Collaboration as an active member of an agile project team directly with clients.
• Leading and advising the development team on BPMN best practices.
• Consulting with business units and the subject matter experts to efficiently support them with IT.
• Responsibility for answering complex technical questions with a long-term perspective.
• Supporting the sales process for automation-related services.

Your Profile

• Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable field of study, alternatively a vocational training corresponding to the requirements.
• 2 – 3 years of experience in conducting Camunda projects.
• At least 5 years of experience in conducting IT projects.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Java and Elasticsearch.
• Practical experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Maven, and Docker.
• Experience in efficiently designing process flows and ideally practical experience in IT projects.
• Knowledge of Camunda and SOAP/Rest Web Service environments.
• High willingness to take on responsibility in independent and self-directed work.
• Analytical and conceptual skills, complemented by deep business knowledge.
• Fluency in German and English (proficient in speech and writing).
• Proven leadership skills with experience in leading teams.
• Authorization to work in the European Union.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in building process automation teams.
• Knowledge of GitHub workflows and actions.
• Knowledge of messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience in developing APIs.
• Experience in consulting, implementation, or IT firms, particularly in the insurance or banking insurance sector.
