Chief Technology Officer

About the Position

We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead our technology strategy, drive innovation, and ensure compliance in the trading industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a cohesive technology strategy that aligns with the company's business goals, focusing on accelerating growth and enhancing competitive advantage. Ensure our trading infrastructure supports high-volume, low-latency trading with maximum uptime;
• Lead the technology team by fostering an innovative, collaborative, and high-performance culture. Mentor and develop the team to ensure they are proficient in the latest technologies and methodologies;
• Drive technological innovation to improve trading platforms, back-office systems, and client-facing applications. Ensure our technology stack is scalable, reliable, and can support rapid growth and international expansion;
• Oversee the development and implementation of robust cybersecurity measures to protect client data and company assets. Ensure compliance with international financial regulations and standards;
• Negotiate and manage relationships with software vendors, technology partners, and service providers to ensure they meet the company's standards for quality and service;
• Regularly review and optimize the performance of the IT infrastructure and systems to ensure they meet the demands of the business, including high transaction volumes and fast execution speeds;
• Ensure that technology initiatives drive improved user experience and customer satisfaction. Be proactive in identifying and implementing technology solutions that meet the evolving needs of traders;
• Stay abreast of new trends and technologies in the financial and tech industries. Evaluate and propose the adoption of new technologies that can benefit the company.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in a technology role preferably in the financial services or trading industry, ideally with a strong background in developing and optimising trading platforms like MT4 and MT5
• At least 5 years on leadership position as CTO, Director of Engineering, etc.
• Proven track record of developing and executing technology strategies that have contributed to measurable business growth;
• Extensive experience with trading platforms, financial software development, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure management;
• Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing technology team;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels;
• Deep understanding of the regulatory environment and compliance requirements relevant to the trading industry;
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent experience in business management is highly desirable;
• Fluent in East Slavic languages;
• Willingness to work from Cyprus office.
