Responsibilities

• Leading the development of IT solutions, considering architecture and its frameworks.
• Implementing and customizing the Guidewire core insurance system using an alternative JVM language.
• Acting as a reliable advisor and "sparring partner" for our clients.
• Independently leading a project team to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain high standards.
• Ensuring adherence to project scope, spreading best practices, and facilitating knowledge sharing between teams.
• Creating well-structured technical documentation (e.g., using BPMN, UML).
• Collaborating directly with our clients as an active member of an agile project team.
• Building strong and lasting relationships with clients.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience as a software developer using Java.
• At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role, such as Tech Lead or Architect.
• Fluent English and German skills (at least C1 level).
• Solid practical experience in system integration or the insurance sector.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and clean code principles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to align business requirements with technical solutions and lead workshops effectively.
• Experience in estimating effort at various levels and identifying potential risks.
• One of the following qualifications: Webservices (REST/SOAP), Microservices, knowledge of JMS, Spring, or similar practical experience.
• Willingness to travel regularly (depending on the project, we may work on-site at the client's location).
• Authorization to work in the European Union.
