People Operations Specialist

About the Position

We are seeking a People Operations Specialist to join our HR team in Kyiv, focusing on employee lifecycle management and culture initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support employees throughout their complete lifecycle including onboarding, regular 1:1 meetings, and offboarding as a trusted HR point of contact.
• Answer everyday HR questions and provide guidance to employees.
• Manage employee records and lifecycle changes in the HRIS system for assigned employee groups.
• Ensure data accuracy and smooth day-to-day HR operations.
• Maintain and improve the internal gamification and recognition platform.
• Ensure smooth employee experience with recognition initiatives.
• Support company celebrations and coordinate branded merchandise.
• Help teams organize and coordinate internal team-building activities.
• Use AI tools to optimize daily HR communications and administrative routines.
• Contribute to culture initiatives and employee experience improvements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, People Operations specialist, or HR Specialist in the IT/tech industry.
• Systematic and detail-oriented approach with the ability to keep processes organized, track tasks efficiently, and handle HR operations with minimal friction.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to conduct effective 1:1s, resolve workplace concerns, and build trust across teams.
• Proactive ownership mindset with high energy and genuine enjoyment of helping people and maintaining workplace culture.
• Naturally positive, action-oriented team player with strong initiative, good sense of humor, and ability to get things done efficiently.
• Fluent in English (minimum solid A2 level) and Ukrainian.
• Based in Kyiv (location requirement).

Nice to Have

• Experience with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) platforms and employee lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with internal gamification and recognition platforms.
• Experience organizing company events, celebrations, and team-building activities.
• Knowledge of branded merchandise coordination.
• Experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) for optimizing HR communications and administrative routines.
